Trevor Noah to Leave "The Daily Show" After Seven Years

Trevor Noah, a Comedian from South Africa who has been hosting "The Daily Show" is leaving the show after 7 years.

Trevor Noah, who replaced Jon Stewart as the host on the Paramount Global cable network owned "the Comedy Central Show" said in the video posted on the show's Youtube Channel "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" handle, "And I realized that after seven years, my time is up".

While thanking the fans and acknowledging the difficulties he and his team had while starting out, he attributed his reason to move on from the show to "the desire to explore learning more languages, travelling to other countries and putting on shows". 

He however assured his fans that he'd still be around for a little while, jokingly saying "It is not instant, I'm not disappearing. Don't worry. If I owe you money, I'll still pay you". 

Trevor Noah leaves the show with three nominations at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Awards, 14 Emmy nominations, 1 Grammy nomination for his comedy album "Son of Patricia" in addition hosting the 2022 Grammy Awards.

Trevor also detailed his upbringing in South Africa as the son of mixed color; her mother being African with a father being a white Swiss-German in his best-selling memoir, "Born a Crime".
