Museveni's Son Praises Uhuru, Threatens to Capture Nairobi in 2 Weeks

Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba with former President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House

Former Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba and the SPA/SO and Commander of Land Forces for Uganda tweeted what seemed like a threat to the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.

In a series of tweets that started with the revelation of having spoken with the former President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta describing him as an incredible man full of courage, honesty and intelligence, the son of President Museveni of Uganda took issue with the way Kenya conducts its business.

The retired Lieutenant General found fault with Uhuru Kenyatta not standing for the third term against the Constitution of Kenya stating that "We would have won easily".

He mocked the Kenyan democracy, adherence to the Constitution and the Rule of law stating how "there is only the Revolution" in Uganda and how Kenyans "will soon learn about it!" In another tweet, he Muhoozi stated that "It wouldn't take us, my army and me, 2 weeks to capture Nairobi."

He later tweeted "It's still 2 weeks to Nairobi". Whether he meant he plans to attack Nairobi in 2 weeks is yet to be established.

At the time of writing, Muhoozi had promised his "Kenyan brothers" how Uganda and Kenya are going to become one country with any wars against the army he is likely to lead ending quickly. He castigated the borders established by the colonizers to be inconsequential before sharing the picture of Kenya's first President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta with the call to fight for "his vision" of us remaining one people.

Are the tweets just mere threats or declaration of war? What did the two, former President Uhuru Kenyatta and retired Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba talk about?

This comes in the aftermath of a successful military coup in Burkina Faso that resulted in their President resigning.

It should be remembered that the 48-year-old retired Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba is the favorite to take over as the President of Uganda in the event that President Museveni, his father leaves office.
